Mary L. Moorhead Is Running for Delegate

May 22, 2007 – My name is Mary L. Moorhead, #69 on the ballot. Except for the time spent in Puerto Rico and on the mainland furthering my education, I have lived all my life in St. Croix. I grew up in Frederiksted, and I was a homeowner in Christiansted for twenty years.
My career years were spent in the public sector teaching High School English, while maintaining business in the private sector. I have always
been involved in my community. I hope to be involved in the writing of our highest body of laws and principles.
I have concerns! I have a concern that the history and culture that define us should always be in our curriculum. I have a concern that living on an
island, preservation and conversation must be priorities. I have a concern that we elect the right people to write this Fifth Constitution.
To write about our government, a person must already know what makes up our government, and how our government functions. A person must have a basic knowledge of our government. To write about our people, a person must know something about the history, culture and traditions of our people.
I know our government. I know our people. I know how to discuss, analyze, and compromise.
Elect Mary L. Moorhead # 69. Thank you.
