Brief: Another East End Water Outage Coming Sunday

Aug. 31, 2007 — East End water customers east of Rapune Hill will have no service from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, following a scheduled outage from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The V.I. Water and Power Authority’s contractor, Tampa Tank, will make new piping connections to the Donoe Tank, according to a news release.
“The Donoe Tank upgrade and refurbishment work is on schedule, with completion expected in the latter part of October,” the release said. “This work, at a cost of $1.8 million, will include hurricane and earthquake protection, as well as enhanced water quality. Every effort will be made to restore water service as quickly as possible on both days.”
