Dec. 10, 2007 Staff Sgt. Wade Andre Roserie, also known as "Andy," of Frederiksted died Thursday, Dec. 6, on St. Croix. Roserie was a 19-year veteran of the V.I. National Guard and served with distinction as a member of the 661st Military Police Company. Most recently, he served his country under Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was also a popular athlete, photographer and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Jovani Barber Roserie; mother, Simone Roserie; father, Patrick Roserie; stepmother, Diana Roserie; son, Wayne Roserie; and daughter, Monet Roserie. He is also survived by sisters: Bernadette Thomas Diaz, Francine Roserie, Patricia Roserie, Valerie Roserie; brothers: Sutten Thomas and Patrick Roserie Jr.; aunts, Mary, Alecia, Winifred, Lyndel and Rufina Roserie, Marie Ann Pierre, and Mary Eugene; uncles, Julian, Cosmos and Peter Roserie; close cousin, Joseph Thomas; special friends: Fabian Claxton, Samuel Abraham, Gregory Evans and Halvor Francis; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The first viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 13, at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will commence at 10 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Frederiksted, with services starting at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
