Sept. 18, 2008 – Parents and guardians are advised that mid-quarter progress reports will be issued to students in all district schools during the week of Sept. 22, according to a press release from Insular Superintendent for the St. Thomas-St. John District Jeanette Smith-Barry
"Parents are urged to make note of the date that reports will be sent home," said Smith-Barry. "I encourage all parents to take some time to review the reports, talk to your child and make contact with schools to address any and all concerns related to your child's progress, if necessary.
"We want all parents to maintain regular communication with their child's school and teachers. Parent conferences are not only available if there are issues of major concern or crisis, but to ensure that there isn't anything that is being overlooked by the school family or the home family. Only through continued collaboration can we ensure success and achievement for all of our students," she said.
For more information regarding mid-quarter reports, contact the administrator at the student's school.
