St. Croix Will Observe V.I. Archives Month

The Territorial Archives of the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums will host a public open house and tour on St. Croix from 1-3 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Florence Williams Public Library's Caribbean Collection and Archives Research Room (3rd floor).
Division staff members responsible for the territory's archives, records and information management, and special collections will conduct the tours, which will include a behind-the-scenes look at original historical documents and research resources. The public is invited to view seldom-displayed historical records, photographs and collections and to learn more about the territorial archives.
Tours will run continuously and are free of charge; advance registration is not required.
For more information, call the Territorial Archives at 774-2362, the Caribbean Collection and Archives of Florence Williams Public Library at 773-5715, or e-mail Susan Laura Lugo, territorial coordinator for archives, at Susan.Lugo@dpnr.gov.vi.
