Oct. 9, 2008 – The 2nd Project Homeless Connect will be held at the Department of Agriculture Fair Grounds on Friday, Oct. 24. The organization is looking for volunteers to serve the homeless by donating small sizes of personal hygiene items including mouth wash, tooth paste, tooth brushes, shampoo, lotion, power, deodorant and other toiletries. Clean and gently used clothing for men and women, sizes small through large, are also welcome, according to a press release from the V.I. Department of Human Services.
Please drop off donated items by Friday, Oct. 17, at the St. Croix Mission Outreach, No. 20 King Street and at 10,000 Helpers in Frederiksted, on the corner of Market and Hospital Street.
