Carl A. Gotts Named Vice President of Sales

Oct. 29, 2008 – The Companion Assurance Co. has added Carl A. Gotts to its staff. The company, a Virgin Islands insurance carrier since 1977, specializes in personal and commercial automobile insurance and is represented by many independent insurance agencies throughout the V.I.
Gotts brings over 20 years of experience in the V.I. insurance industry to head the sales department as the company's first vice president of sales.
"I welcome the challenge given to me by the board of directors to increase sales and the public perception of Companion Assurance by fostering the already strong bond with our capable and experienced family of independent insurance agencies.
"Our plans for growth include an enhanced portfolio of products, to include premium financing and higher limit automobile policies to complement our already competitive rates and wide variety of discounts. Our goal is to be one of the leading automobile insurance carriers in the Virgin Islands.
"We will achieve this through a program of ongoing staff training focusing on product knowledge and customer service; and the availability of online quotes and customer inquiries through our soon to be launched interactive Internet Web site," Gotts said.
Vanguard Insurance Agency is the in-house marketing arm of Companion Assurance and acts as their managing general agent in the territory with offices located in estates' Sion Farm and Golden Grove on St Croix. The Companion Assurance Co. home office is located at 4N Sion Farm.
