Brief: Man Charged with Third-Degree Assault

St. Thomas resident Kenneth Attidore, 21, was arrested at about 3 p.m. Thursday and charged with third-degree assault for an incident that occurred earlier that day.

According to police, Attidore pointed a gun at a 21-year-old male victim and fought with him at the Kmart store in Tutu Park Mall.

The gun, a 9-millimeter firearm with an obliterated serial number, was turned over to the security guard who turned it over to police. Officers said the investigation into the firearm is ongoing.

Bail for Attidore was set at $35,000. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
