Former Senator Remembers Sen. Lorraine Berry

Dear Source:

“The Virgin Islands has lost a true voice of the people,” Sen. Magras stated as he reminisced on the times they worked together as colleagues in the 16th and 17th Legislature. “Senator Berry always stood up for what she believed to be right, and although we may have disagreed on certain issues, we always maintained a friendship based on mutual respect for each other and for each other’s opinions. Her long tenure in the Legislature is testament to her broad support from all sectors of the electorate. Senator Berry will be sorely missed on the political and social scene, especially among her supporters of French descent. May she rest in peace.”
