Aaron Jay Holmes of Canaan Ridge died on Sept. 17. He was 16 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Laurie Holmes; father, Arlan Holmes; grandparents: Darlene and Doug Johanson, Arlene and Larry Holmes; sisters: Ariana and Arelia Holmes; great aunt, Betty (Jim) King; great uncle, Richard (Lynn) Knudson; aunts: Laurie (Ron) Juenemann, Terri (Tommy) Hayes, Shelley Tenquist, Dianne (Habib Tajik) Johanson and Jill (Tom) Anderson; and uncles: Bob and Gordon Johanson. He is also survived by cousins: Clifford Juenemann, Julie Panetti, Andy, Danny and Callie Wasilewski, Ben and Andrew Staples, Albe and Cassie Seguin, Christopher and Nicholas Johanson, Nasim and Neema Tajik, Emily, Katie, Jessica, Jack and Elsie Anderson; special friends: Josue, Nicholas; and other family and friends too numerous to mention.
A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, at the Way of the Cross Baptist Church.
