Lowell Augustin Thomas Dies at 61

Lowell Augustin Thomas
Lowell Augustin Thomas, also known as "Chiefy," of Estate La Grange died on Oct. 7. He was 61 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Christinita Williams Thomas; daughters: Michelle Thomas,Monelle, Sonya N. Thomas and Mahalia Thomas; sons: Lowell A. Thomas Jr., Louis A. Thomas and Lowell A.D. Thomas; grandchildren: Megan, Michael, Matthew, Dasha and Jahsiah Thomas
and MiKayla Monelle; daughters-in-law: Amy and Paula Thomas; son-in-law, Omar Monelle; sister, Ramona Rodgers Fayoe; and brothers: Fred A., Delroy, Lloyd, Wendell D. Sr., and Gordon "Tommy" Thomas. He is also survived by nieces: Sharon T. Danielson, Adnil T. Clarke, Gail T. McKee, Tiffany T. Roberts, Jada M. Thomas, Debra Thomas and Anna Thomas; nephews: Fred A. Thomas, Angus B. Thomas, Owen George, Darius George, Wendell D. Thomas Jr., Akeem Thomas and Femi Fayoe; great nieces: Jelissa Rock, Khaliah Danielson, Ebony and Trinell Thomas, Linda Clarke and Darisse S.E. George; great nephews: James Rock and Kaleem Danielson, Terrance and Jason Thomas, Richard and Rashawn Roberts, and Darius George Jr.; aunts: Kathleen Rodgers and Regina R. Daniel; and uncle, Alphonso Rodgers.
Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Sheryl Soto, Dawn Rodgers, Delta Dorsch, Kathleen Matarangas-King and family, Myrtle and Denise Farrelly, Augustine Edwards and family, Roseann Washington and family, Bennett Smith and family, Kathleen Smith-McCow, Delores Brathwaite, Genice W. Thomas and Josephine Francis; sisters-in-law: Theresa H. Thomas and Bernice Thomas; brothers-in-law: Raymond Williams and James Brewster; and other family members and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
