Charles E. Newton Jr. Dies

Charles Edney Newton Jr.Charles Edney Newton Jr., also known as “Junie” or “Prickle,” died on March 15 at Seaview Nursing Home. He was 74 years old.
He is survived by his sisters: Jacqueline Benjamin Dottin, Jeanne Joseph, Sybil Farrington and Norma Newton Durant; brothers: Ricardo E. Benjamin, Darwin Newton, Alvin Newton and Bert Newton; nephews: Aluwyn R. Jacobs Jr., Troy Thompson, Clifton Joseph, Arthur Benjamin, Cornelius Benjamin, Darrell Thomas, Alton Thomas Jr., Arthur Paris and Sybrey Callwood; nieces: Annette M. Jacobs, Leah O Pickering, Charise Raymond, Natasha Forbes Clise, Antoinette Benjamin, Daphne Thomas Sanders, Jeanne Thomas, Sandra Thomas, Delia Thomas and Chesna Trotman; cousins: Fred Newton and Florise Newton-Chow; special cousin, Franklin “Frankie” Newton; aunt, Elsa Newton; 17 great nephews; 24 great nieces; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
