Jahmal Isaiah Lake of Harbor View Apartments died on March 29. He was 20 years old.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Beryl Donovan and Mary Lake; and aunt, Denease Donovan.
He is survived by his mother, Idola Donovan; father, Carl Lake; grandfathers: Reginald Donovan and Stedman Lake; brother, Vincent Lake; sister, Shaquilla Lake; aunts: Delores, Isola, Lynette, Leechell and Celia Donovan, Cherylyn Lake-Evans, Phelicia, Carolyn, Kristen, Amanda, Samariah and Mariah Lake; uncles: Emile and Reginald Donovan Jr., Mitchell, Dean, Junie, Steve, Johnathan, Elvis and Dion Lake; nephew, Zy-ir Lake; great aunts: Iris Penn, Ima Rose Smith and Irene Smith; great uncles: Berris Smith and Basil "Bobby" Smith; and great-great aunt, Catherine Josiah.
He is also survived by cousins: Shemeka, Natasha, Jasime, Bender, Shameka, Safiya, Keisa, Jessica, Mitchelle, Sheriqua, Kaheel, Delanie, Tqwana, Dshana, Jahdeem, Jahnyra, Jahnari, Jahmari, Jahseem, Berly, O’marah, Rodney, Larry Jr., Cherelle, Dante Cuencas, Tywana and Tynesha Evans, Nakimba, Daniel, LaTisha Gaskin, Jasim, Tamika, Nia Lake, Jamal and Deshell Rosa, Aesha Ferguso, Josiah Brown, the Samuel, King, Mussington, Martin and Francis families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, at Ebenezer Methodist Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
