While all eyes are on St. Thomas-born Hannah Davis for her starring role in the 2015 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, St. John’s Caneel Bay Resort again served as the backdrop. It also had that role in 2008.
"We are delighted that Caneel Bay Resort has once again been selected to appear in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue," manager Nikolay Hotze said in a press release issue Tuesday. "It is a testament to the beauty and timelessness of our resort."
Caneel welcomed photographer Yu Tsai, celebrity body painter Joanne Gair and the women featured in the 2015 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Gair and her team painted patriotic-themed bathing suits on the models at Caneel’s beaches.
It was the only property in the territory to be featured.
The 2015 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue hit newsstands and went online at www.SI.com/Swimsuit on Monday.
