FirstBank Pays Off $10,000 Loan for Contest Winner

FirstBank extends congratulations to Bernardo Ortiz, the winner of its summer “Pay off Your Loan” contest. As the lucky winner, Ortiz will have his entire unsecured personal loan of $10,000 paid off by FirstBank.

FirstBank’s annual summer loan campaign, which ran from June 15 to Sept. 23, featured a reduced rate with deferred payment option; it also featured an automatic entry into a raffle draw to have the approved borrower’s loan amount paid off in its entirety.

There were 321 Virgin Islanders eligible for the contest, and the winner was selected by electronic drawing. Ortiz, a resident of St. Croix, booked his loan just one week before the campaign ended.

“Congratulations to Mr. Ortiz. With this promotion, we wanted to do something different to express our thanks to our customers for their trust and commitment. It is a pleasure to be able to give this gift to one of our clients,” said Miguel Farrington, assistant vice president at FirstBank.
