In compliance with the Virgin Islands Code, the persons elected to serve on the Virgin Islands Board of Education (VIBE) will be administered the oath of office by Judge Debra Watlington on Jan. 2, 2017, in Government House on St. Thomas.

VIBE will hold its orientation and professional development for members and staff from Jan. 19 – 21. The offices in both districts will close midday on Wednesday, Jan. 18, and reopen on Monday, Jan. 23.

The first regular meeting of VIBE will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, at Sugar Bay Resort on St. Thomas. There will be an election of the officers of the board and an organizing of the standing committees.
