Volleyball USVI Announces 2017 Senior Women’s Squad

Senior Women’s Volleyball Team

“We are extremely happy with the 2017 edition of our senior women’s team,” said Shereen Rohlsen-Newton, executive director. “We had a productive selection camp, which I would consider one of our best ever, and that’s a tribute to all players and staff who attended. Our future looks bright.”

The senior team has been training on St. Thomas at the Charlotte Amalie High School Gymnasium to prepare for the 2nd round of the Federation Internationale de Volleyball / North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (FIVB/NORCECA) World Championships Qualifiers, which will be held from July 23 – 31 in Kingston, Jamaica. A roster of 12 of the 16 athletes listed below will be participating in Jamaica.

The FIVB/NORCECA 2nd Round World Championships Qualification Tournament will also serve as the qualifier for the FIVB/NORCECA World Championships Qualification Tournament Finals from Sept. 26 – Oct. 1. The top six NORCECA teams will earn a berth from this event for the FIVB/NORCECA World Championships Qualification Tournament Finals.
