Police Investigate Shooting Death in Oswald Harris

The V.I. Police Department is investigating the shooting death of 42-year-old Pierre Nelson Brock early Wednesday at the Oswald Harris Housing Community.

According to police, at about 2:50 a.m. Wednesday the 911 center received a report that “someone was crying” in the rear building – Building 4 – of the Oswald Harris Court Housing Community. Units from the Richard N. Callwood Command, along with units from the Criminal Investigation Bureau, traveled to Oswald Harris Court and discovered an unresponsive black male around Building 4.

The man appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to his body. The victim was later identified by next of kin as Pierre Nelson Brock.

Police urged anyone with information about the crime to contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 ext. 5617, 911, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
