Dozens of women and men turned out Thursday to show solidarity with victims of domestic violence in the annual Take Back the Night march in Frederiksted, the 37th year the St. Croix Women’s Coalition held the candlelight vigil and march.

“We march in silent protest for murder victims and survivors, and to keep the focus on ending domestic violence in our community,” Women’s Coalition Executive Director Clema Lewis said in a news release.

More information and a chance to volunteer are available by calling the coalition’s main office/crisis center at 340-773-9272, or on WCSC’s website, wcstx.org, for information on all the DVAM events.

WCSC’s hotline is open 24 hours for crisis intervention and other free services: 340-773-9272.
