The anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, seeks the public’s help to resolve a homicide that took place five years ago and a case of a missing hiker.
St. Croix – At about 8:50 a.m. Oct. 3, 2014, police were dispatched to an Estate Grove Place home regarding an overnight shooting that claimed the life of 33-year-old Shukura St. Louis. When police arrived at the victim’s home, which she shared with her mother, the mother told officers she heard a gunshot sometime after midnight but had not given it much thought.
She awoke that morning to find her daughter unresponsive with a gunshot wound to her body.
St. Louis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives with the Cold Case Unit St. Croix urge the public to come forward with any information that could assist them solve this case.
St. John – On Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, Valda Llewellyn went to the Leander Jurgen Command on St. John and reported that her son, Khoy Jimenez, was missing. Llewellyn said her son left their home in Tortola, BVI on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, and traveled to St. John, USVI, to go hiking on the trails and she had not heard from him since.
Llewellyn told police she had searched the trails in St. John with assistance from the Virgin Islands National Park but they could not locate her son.
The 26-year-old Khoy Jimenez is described as approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing about 190 pounds, with shoulder length locks, a tattoo of a lion on his right arm and a tattoo of the number 100 in red ink on the right side of his neck.
