New Online Services Available by Division of Corporations and Trademarks

United States Virgin Islands Office of the Lieutenant Governor

In a Wednesday press conference, Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach Esq. announced additional online services available for the Division of Corporations and Trademarks Catalyst System. The launch of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) module is now available to receive and process electronic filings on par with any other jurisdiction.

The module was developed by the division’s consultant, Foster Moore US LLC, and it will allow registered users to: file UCC financing statements, information statements and amendments; request copies of filings (plain or certified); perform UCC information requests; and pay all fees electronically.

“I am pleased that beginning today, the business community can utilize the website: www.corporationsandtrademarks.vi.gov to file their documents and submit payments for the business entity and UCC registries completely online in the Catalyst System 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week,” said Roach.

“This is an exciting moment for business here and on the larger scale for our economy. It makes doing business with the territory that much easier. You can transact business with us wherever you are in the world and have access to the Internet,” said the lieutenant governor.

In both district offices, the Division of Corporations and Trademarks will have kiosks available for customer use. There is also a revised UCC fee listing that is available on the Office of the Lieutenant Governor’s website at www.ltg.gov.vi. Business and trade-name owners are reminded of the June 30th filing and payment due date to remain in a status of Active/In Good Standing to conduct business in the territory.

For additional information, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor’s Division of Corporations and Trademarks can be reached on St. Thomas at 774-2991 and on St. Croix at 773-6449.
