Woman Reports Rape on STX

A woman reported to the V.I. Police on Saturday that she had been the victim if a rape.

According to the VIPD report, the police were notified of the incident at 5:58 p.m. Saturday.

The victim, whose name was not released by police, said that she had accepted a ride home from a male acquaintance. The male took her against her will to a different location, where he sexually assaulted her. The victim said she was in fear for her life during the encounter.

The man took her home after the incident, according to the report.

Police urged anyone who has any information that can help police solve this crime to call 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 800-222-8477.
