STT Woman Charged with Rape

A 54-year-old St. Thomas woman was arrested Aug. 10 and charged with rape, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police at about 3 p.m. Aug. 10 police arrested Monique Turner of Bergs Homes, charging her with second-degree rape. She admitted to detectives that she engaged in a sexual contact with a minor male for several months.

Bail for Turner was set at $100,000.

Police urged anyone with information about the incident to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-714-9801, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
