Irose Spooner

Irose Spooner of Estate Whim died on Nov. 5 in Columbus, Ohio. She was 84 years old.

Her memories will live on in the lives of her family, friends and neighbors, including her entire Villagers as follows: sister/daughter, Mary V. Abbott; brothers: Stafford Gilead, Leslie and Denfield Browne; sisters: Beatrice, Wilma Portman, Anesta Richardson, Lucille Browne, Patricia Lake and Beverly Francis; nieces: Beverley C. Reid, Rety Alexander, Jacklyn Dyer, Cheryl Cherriann Liburd, Natasha Mitchell. Daphne, Ida Mae, Sandra, Bevrita Browne, Eloise Charles, Maudlyn McFarlane, Karen Lake, Judith Stevens, Eugenie Miller, and Vanessa and Francisa Gilead; nephews/sons: Robert Artwell George, Alvin Anthony Dawson, Hubert (Katalyss) Alexander, Stafford (Fanso) Gilead and Sherwayn (Paluka) Gilead; nephews: Ashley Alexander, Aubrey Joseph. Alvin, Kenneth, Dalma, Casmore, Arend Browne. Dellie Gilead, Richard Smith, Alvin Milligan, Michael Ambrose, Withfield (Sparrow) Browne and Earl Baker; son-in-law, David Reid; niece-in-law, Cheryl George; sisters-in-law: Lucille Browne and Sylvia Gilead; the family of late brother-in-law Rev. Fr. Richard Abbott; special son: Dr. Michael Potts and family; grandchildren: Brandon, Brittany, Emilie Dawson. Isaiah Shana Henry. Ashley, Alexis Alexander. Great-grandchildren: Victoria Reid, Kayla, Chadasia, Jeremiah Alexander, Josiah Henry, Tyana and Kriston Liburd, and Da-sha Wilson; great-great-grandsons: Brandon, Bryson, Dawson and Devan Holloway; daughters-in-law: Bridget Cox Dawson, Denise Alexander and Monique P. A homegoing service will be held on Dec. 7, at Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church.  The first viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 5, at James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.  A second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 7, with a funeral service following immediately.
