Police Investigating Robbery at Salt River Beach

A St. Croix man reported to police he had been robbed shortly after midnight Wednesday at Salt River Beach by three masked men who made off with his vehicle.

According to police the victim, whose name was not released in accordance with department policy, told officers at the Ancilmo Marshall Command police station in Christiansted that at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday he was sitting in his white 2016 Ford Explorer at Salt River Beach when he saw a white four-door Ford F-150 truck drive up. The victim was then approached by three males – dressed in black clothing with black T-shirts over their faces – and ordered out of his vehicle. After the victim complied, two of the suspects left the area in his vehicle, and the third suspect left in the Ford F-150.

The victim was able to find his way to the police station and filed a report. He was not harmed in the incident.

Police urged anyone with information about the case to call 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS). Reports to Crime Stoppers that help resolve a crime can earn the caller an anonymous cash reward.
