Atnel O. Kuntz, a 60-year-old resident of of Anna’s Retreat on St. Thomas, turned himself in to police at 7 a.m. Wednesday and was arrested on a warrant.
According to the V.I. Police Department, Kuntz was charged with third-degree assault, use of dangerous weapon during the commission of a crime, first-degree reckless endangerment, instigating a fight, and disturbance of the peace.
Police said Kuntz was seen on video surveillance assaulting a victim with a metal pipe at the Cyril E. King Airport on May 25.
Unable to post $30,000 bail, Kuntz was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
