WAPA Advises Customers of Electrical Interruptions on Portions of Feeders 6A and 7A on Oct. 9.

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority informs the public that on Saturday, Oct. 9, electric system crews will replace broken utility poles along the path of two electrical feeders. The work will require service interruptions to customers on portions of Feeders 6A and 7A.

From 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., customers on a portion of Feeder 7A will experience a service interruption while work is underway on St. Peter Mountain Road near Suicide Hill. Affected areas include Lerkenlund, Hull Bay, Bonne Resolution, Lilliendahl, Mafolie, Misgunst, St. Peter, Agnes Fancy, Estate Elizabeth and Barrett Hill.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., customers on a portion of Feeder 6A will experience a service interruption while crews work near the Black Point Hill scenic overlook. Affected areas include Fortuna, Bordeaux, Santa Maria, Estate Pearl, Bonne Esperance, Bethesda, Estate Hope and Botany Bay.

Motorists are asked to adhere to posted directional signs and exercise caution when approaching and driving through the work areas.
