Women Making History: Caroline Fawkes

For March’s V.I. History Month, the Source offers a new take on a familiar face with a story about a young Virgin Islander who started her military career by taking on an unexpected opportunity. She took on the challenges of training as a pilot and by doing so, achieved a first.

Reporter Judi Shimel makes the introduction for a history maker who tells her own story, including how she, through her example, has encouraged and inspired others.

And in telling the story, it will lend new eyes to visitors in the chamber of the V.I. Legislature in Charlotte Amalie when they look at the mural in the back of the room.
