Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in women in our territory. Cancer Support VI (CSVI) is raising awareness and funds for U.S. Virgin Islanders impacted by cancer. Through its Pinktober events, CSVI celebrates women’s health, promotes cancer awareness and honors breast cancer fighters and survivors. Pinktober is one of the largest fundraising initiatives of the year for CSVI.

Viya has supported cancer warriors along with Cancer Support VI on St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix for over a decade, helping to raise awareness and by raising thousands of dollars for those most in need.

Cancer Support VI

For those battling cancer in the USVI their challenges have increased dramatically due to:

  • Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute remains closed since the hurricanes of 2017.
  • Local treatment options are limited, especially for breast cancer patients that need radiation therapy
  • Seeking treatment off-island comes with restrictions and obstacles

For so many, the fight is even harder during these unprecedented times. So, to have the incredible outpouring of partners like Viya, who donated an unprecedented $10,000, is to support those in the USVI impacted by cancer. One hundred percent of this donation will go directly to support those in the territory impacted by cancer. CSVI cannot begin to thank Viya for their continued support.

Because of them, cancer patients in the Virgin Islands can get funds for critical care and support.
