Office of Veterans Affairs to Host Veterans Appreciation Day Sail

The Office of Veterans Affairs will be hosting a Veterans Appreciation Day Sail on Saturday, Dec. 3, on St. Thomas. Initially, this day of sailing was scheduled for Nov. 5, but due to inclement weather on that day, it was postponed. All veterans interested in attending the day of sailing need to visit the St. Thomas office between 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 28 and noon on Nov. 30.

A Veterans Appreciation Day T-Shirt will be issued between Monday and Wednesday at the Office of Veterans Affairs. The T-Shirts will serve as the ticket for admission on the vessel.

Veterans Day Sail

o Free Entrance aboard the Kontiki

o Free Entertainment by Spectrum Band

o Free Lunch and a Free T-Shirt will be provided

o Saturday Dec. 3

o 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

o Boarding will take place across from Banco Popular on the waterfront

All veterans will be required to sign an indemnity waiver at the time of RSVP. Please RSVP between 8:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28 through noon on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the St. Thomas office.
