Lieutenant Governor Roach to Hold Meeting of V.I. Banking Board

Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach Esq., who also serves as the chairman of the Virgin Islands Banking Board, has announced that the board will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, on St. Thomas at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, 2nd Floor Rotunda.

The board’s agenda includes an application for a permit to organize an International Financial Services entity, applicants seeking to use cryptocurrencies and/or virtual currency services, and a financial institution seeking to offer lending and digital banking services in the territory.

To request access to the Banking Board meeting, RSVP by emailing lgopress@vi.gov. Please note that participation is limited to audio only. Members of the public will not have the ability to ask questions during the board meeting.
