In solidarity with the Venezuelan community residing in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and in response to the situation caused by recent earthquakes affecting various parts of Venezuela, Liberty announced a special measure today to facilitate communication between family members and the business community.

Starting at 11:59 p.m. (midnight) June 25, through June 28, all Liberty mobile customers—whether on personal or business accounts—can make free international long-distance calls to Venezuela from the USVI. This initiative aims to support those who need to check on their family’s well-being, coordinate aid, or stay in touch during this time.

“At Liberty, we recognize the importance of staying connected during emergencies. We want to support the Venezuelan community in the Virgin Islands by making it easier for them to communicate with their loved ones or colleagues in Venezuela when they need it most,” said Giovanna Ramírez de Arellano, Senior Director of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Liberty.

The waiver of charges will apply automatically to mobile calls made from USVI to numbers in Venezuela between June 26 and June 28. Customers do not need to take any additional steps to benefit from this measure.

Liberty VI remains committed to supporting the communities it serves and responding swiftly to events that impact on the lives of its customers and their families.

Keeping our community informed is our top priority.
