The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) will host Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John C. Williams on Tuesday, May 16, for a discussion on the economic outlook and monetary policy with UVI President Dr. David Hall. UVI students, faculty, staff and members of the wider community are invited to attend.

The 45-minute discussion will take place at the Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas in the LaVerne E. Ragster Administrative and Conference Center at 12:15 p.m. There will be a brief question and answer session.

The event is one of several discussions President Williams will participate in while visiting St. Thomas and St. Croix. These meetings serve to inform President Williams on regional issues and are part of the New York Fed’s ongoing efforts to assess economic conditions across the Federal Reserve’s Second District, which includes the U.S. Virgin Islands, along with New York State, northern New Jersey, southwestern Connecticut and Puerto Rico.
