Tillett Gardens is the place to be Saturday, May 20, as a fundraiser for local artist and business owner Amy Gibbs is planned. Guests can expect Tillett Gardens to be filled with entertainment, food and refreshments. Lourdes and Switch will provide the music, Diann Love will show off her fire dancing, and local artists Shary Cruz and Chunikwa George will be body painting. Food will be provided by Roots Garden Lounge, along with signature artist cocktails named after four famous artists. Sweet treats will also be provided by Wyld Flours Bakery.

A community art project has been planned for the evening on the outside wall in the garden area of Gibbs’ studio. There will also be a raffle. Prizes have been donated from some of St Thomas’ finest restaurants, local artists, spas, jewelry stores, and much more.

Gibbs’ art studio will also be transformed into a gallery of her work for the event. Her artwork will be for sale. The exhibition will be held for that night only.

Sponsors of the event include Cardow Wine & Spirits, The Market St Thomas, Cool Signs, ColorMax, Wyld Flours Bakery, and East End Flower Shop.

“The Art Explorium was created as a community art center and would not be what it is today without the support of our beloved community. I wanted to have this event so that people can come together and celebrate what we as a community have built and to usher in what is to come in the next 10 years! If people or their children have been touched in some way in the last ten years by my offerings, I would love to have them join the celebration,” Gibbs said.
