To the delight of the hundreds of attendees at the Summer Jump Up held on Friday evening, there was live music, a steel pan orchestra, moko jumbies, and fireworks in downtown Christiansted, St. Croix.

Often a night to remember, this Summer Jump Up felt extra special as vendors lined the historic streets, with smells of curry from Diane’s Master Roti booth to locally-inspired fruit cocktails by Melee.

Even the downtown shops kept their doors open late for Jump Up, including Cultured Naturals Body Care located on Company Street as seen above where owner Ramone Reid, left, speaks with customer Jill Cook on new products with many locally-sourced, plant-based ingredients. (Photo by Shanell Petersen)
