Sprauve Library to Open to Public on Sept. 13

The Elaine Ione Sprauve Public Library and Museum of Cultural Arts on St. John will re-open on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The hours for the facility will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The library will be closed on Mondays.

“DPNR is very pleased to be re-opening the Sprauve Library and restoring these services for the citizens of St. John,” said Commissioner Pierre Oriol.  All persons with active library cards may use the services.  Applications for library cards will be available at the front desk. All patrons are encouraged to apply for a card.”

“On Saturdays at 11 a.m., we will be offering a weekly storytime program for children. All children must be accompanied by an adult or an older sibling or family member at least 16 years old,” said Director Amy Parker De Sorbo.

The public is advised that there is limited parking due to ongoing construction in the area.
