Doris Violet Brown

Doris Violet Brown of Anna’s Fancy, St. Thomas, died on Dec. 3.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianna Brown; and granddaughter, Ledisha Brown.

She is survived by her son: Alvin R. Brown and his wife Karen Brown; siblings: Lillian Caines of St. Thomas, John Williams and Veronica Herbert of New York, Nathaniel Caines, Violet Fulton-Harnney and Patrick Fulton of St. Kitts.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren: Sunnisha Stephenson, Latoya Brown, LeDorn Brown, Nikkita Brown, Kashief DeGrasse, Dominique Brown-Estrada, Geniya Witter, Breanna Blake, Chrisette Wood, Lynden Johnson, Landon Johnson, Charles Smith III and Christopher Wood Jr.

Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews: Arlene Somersall Toussaint, Nyron Williams, Charlene Herbert Hanley, Janice Hodge Louis, Sherilyn Hodge, Kishon Herbert, Darren Evans, Chuck Williams, Louella Warrell, Lezcano Warrell and Sequanni Buchanan; special friends and loved ones: the families of Carmen Wheatley, Trisha James, Carolyn Thomas and Paula Matthews.

Funeral arrangements for Doris Violet Brown are as follows:

The first viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home.

The second viewing will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, with services immediately following at 10 a.m. at All Saints Cathedral Church, Garden Street. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 2.
