John Baptiste Leo Dies at 75

John Baptiste Leo

John Baptiste Leo died on Friday, Dec. 17. He was 75 years old.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Marie Cordice; father, Lodest St. Holl; son, Troy Danny Leo; sister, Eldrina St. Holl; brothers: William St. Holl, Lucius Leo and Benedict St. Holl.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Mary Leo; daughters: Julita Matthew, Nela Leo, Verna Leo-Peterson, Lisa Leo-Marshall, Lavelle Leo, Sophia Maxius and Sophia Rosemary Gilbert; son, Johnny Leo; and grandchildren: Lorenzo Evans, Jermelle Evans, Rodeshia Wickham, Tishanda Leo, Pascal Prescott Jr., DeAundre Peterson, Deonte Peterson, Nathan Peterson Jr., India Evans, Okira Prescott, Kiara Prescott and Joshuah Prescott,

He is also survived by more grandchildren: Jahim Leo, Jahcoassy Leo, Jahnishba Leo, Jahshyra Leo, Jahnia Leo, Arriyanna Leo, Jahlia Leo, Johnny Leo Jr., Jahsheckqa Leo, Jahmia Leo, Shania Leo-Julian, Robert Lee Marshall Jr., Anthony Matthew Jr., Antoine Matthew, Janaea Matthew, Iyah Leo, Ajarah Leo, Nubia Leo, Yadayyah Leo, Yahsenah Leo, Dwaine Maxius, Wayne Maxius, Wendell Maxius, Kendell Maxius and Markdaniel Maxius.

Other survivors include great-grandchildren: Na’Haliyah Evans, DeAundre Peterson Jr., DeShaun Peterson, D’Nasia Morales, Za’ Vayah Sanes, Ja’ Kayla Prescott, Jazz’lyn Prescott, Zy’ Asia Magrass, Tyzon Boston, Lamari Evans, Aiden Evans, Jah’Nyla Mangram and Kelani Davis; sisters: Agatha St. Brice, Roseline Polius, Christina William, Cecilia Polius Augustin and Prisca Polius; brothers: Lenius Leo and Julian Alexander St. Holl; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery..
