Simeon Howard Williams Sr. Dies at 83

Simeon Howard Williams Sr.

Simeon Howard Williams Sr. of Estate Smithfield Newtown, Frederiksted, died on Jan. 25. He was 83 years old.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Henry Williams; mother, Miriam Crawford Williams; and father, James Williams.

He is survived by his daughters: Colleen M. Williams, Nadine Williams-Nicks, Vanessa M. Williams and Juanita R. Williams; son, Simeon H. Williams Jr.; grandchildren: AnneMarie A. Gumbs, Raedyance J. Nicks, Rachel J. Nicks and Sebastian Fuentes; great-grandchildren: Sarima Josephine Randolph and Romanus Simeon Randolph; and nieces: Alicesen Ramos, Leona Williams-Learperl, Delarie Williams, Joy Williams, Sherline Williams-Nathaniel, Inez Willams, Hazel Williams and Gloria Williams-Moore.

He is also survived by nephews: Paul Williams, Keith Williams and Jean Williams; great-nieces: Jeniese Williams, Monica Joseph, Ashaki Christian-Ortiz, Marie Danielson, Christine Danielson, LaKeisha Learperl, LaTisha Learperl, Terentia Willams and Jenise Williams; great-nephews: David Henry, Kishawn Creque, Richard Payne, Charles Richards Jr., Michael Williams, Kimani Christian, Rudo Christian, Christian Danielson Jr., Jason Williams, Richard Ramos and Raymond Williams Jr.; and son-in-law, Richard J. Nicks.

other survivors include grandson-in-law, Romanus Randolph; brothers-in-law: Halva Henry, Lester Henry, Heraldo Henry and Lloyd Henry Sr.; sisters-in-law: Joan Nielsen and Ingle Du Henry; goddaughter, Glendora Pickering-Porter; special friends: Charles and Geralda Farrell and family, Richards Schrader and family, the Petersen family, the Elcock family and the V.I. Fire Services Department and Retirees; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
