Leroy Alfredo Matthews Sr. died on Jan. 1, 2024

There will be a first viewing held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home.

There will be a second viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at New Hernhut Moravian Church. Interment will be at Brookman Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Leroy Alfredo Matthews Jr.; brothers: Warren “Tobago” Estrada Jr., Elvis “Skinny” Fredericks Sr., Malcolm “X” Joseph, Albert “Biko” Joseph, Tyrone “Worm” Francis, Oral “Faith” Rabsatt, Elvin Matthews, Clarence Matthews, Ivan Matthews and Julien Matthews; and sisters: Ann Marie Estrada, Lyra Matthews Williams, Cheryl Rosado, Nyomi Matthews and Tiffany Matthews.

He is also survived by nephews: Rakim Tirado, Arkim Estrada, Elvis Fredericks Jr., Jomal Joseph, Jerome Joseph, Joray Joseph, Tyrone Francis Jr., Tayshawn Francis, Tayron Francis, Julien Henley Jr., Kakeen Joseph, Leon Williams, Faith Rabsatt, Deyante Rabsatt, Dionn Williams Jr., Noel Rosado Jr., Maleek Matthews, Jaden Matthews, Marquis Matthew, Morgan Matthews, Joseph Matthews and Clarice Matthews Jr.

Other survivors include nieces: Akilah Estrada, Kimra Estrada, Lekeesha Estrada Lattin, Krisma Fredericks Pinney, Cristal Fredericks, Dejah Joseph, Makeda Joseph, Shinelle Bute, Carise Joseph, Tameka Francis, Rea Francis, Leah Williams, Zipporah Boney, Orsha Matthews, Kioko Rosado, Alexandria Matthews and Nicole Matthews; uncle, Alphonso James; aunts: Bernice Fredericks, Vera Fredericks, Delores Wallace and Eulalie James; and many cousins too numerous to mention.

Funeral arrangements are by Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services.
