The Virgin Islands Casino Control Commission (VICCC) continues to champion youth development and education by presenting a substantial check of $385,956.64 to the Department of Labor in support of the Jobs for America’s Graduates – Virgin Islands (JAG-VI) program. This contribution made possible through 10% of the taxes on the casino’s gross revenue earnings, reaffirms the VICCC’s commitment to investing in the future of Virgin Islands youth and preparing them for success in the outside world.
At the ceremony, attendees included Jobs for America’s Graduates -Virgin Islands (JAG-VI) students and high-ranking officials such as Commissioner of Labor Gary Molloy, Commissioner of Education Dionne Wells-Hedrington, and Marvin Pickering, chairman and CEO of the Casino Control Commission.
Their presence underscored the collective dedication of the community and government to support initiatives like JAG-VI, which equip young people with essential skills for academic and professional success.
Abyjah Evans, student president of the Jobs for America’s Graduates -Virgin Islands (JAG-VI) at St. Croix Educational Complex, expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, “Without JAG, I wouldn’t be where I am now. I am really glad that I got to go to Washington and represent where I am from.”

Nasir Saldana, student president for JAG-VI at the St. Croix Central High School, also expressed appreciation, saying, “Big thanks for all the organizations and JAG for supporting me and getting me out there. It has been a very big help, especially for after school and figuring out what I want to do.”
