Sunday, following an investigation and an arrest warrant, 41-year-old Jalivya Thomas turned herself in at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where she was advised of her Miranda Rights, the V.I. Police Department reported.
On February 22, the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a robbery in the Castle Coakley area. Responding officers met with the victim, who was severely beaten. The victim disclosed that he was present at an establishment and met a young lady along with Thomas, and several other co-conspirators, who orchestrated a plan to rob him after he withdrew money from the ATM, the police report stated.
The younger female was with him in his vehicle and she had him stop in the vicinity of Strictly the Best Clothing Store, where he was robbed and assaulted at gunpoint by all her co-conspirators, stated the report.
Thomas declined to give a statement and was arrested for robbery in the first degree. She was booked and unable to post bail in the amount of $75,000. Thomas was remanded to the John Bell Correctional Facility pending her advice of rights hearing.
