Hilderene Naomi Theresa George Dies at 79

Hilderene Naomi Theresa George

Hilderene Naomi Theresa George, also known as “Aunty Hilo,” of Antigua, died on Sept. 9 at the age of 79.

She is survived by her children: Kimberley and Keima Willett; grandchildren: Khaylon Levons, Ajeuné Willett-Tyson and Kha’moi Gibbs; sons-in-love: Leston Stoutt and Frankie Gibbs; sisters: Alloma George, Melrona Benjamin, Dornamay Adams (Linroy) and Evangelist Patricia “Arah” Ralph (Denroy); and brothers: Ambassador Wigley George Esq. (Winifred), Charles “Chuko” George Alcenta and, Winston Burnette (Joan).

She I also survived by uncle, James George; 29 nieces and nephews; special cousins: Orgyll Carrillo, Doris Daniel, Aaron “Huslter” Richards, Estellita “Baba” Petersen, Darryl Scott and Charles Peters; special friends: Ira Willett, Judith Mayers, Pastor Mikie Roberts, Monique Richards, Cynthia Matthew, Alice Percival, Sheila Jean, and other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.

The first viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. The second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., with service to follow at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Memorial Moravian Church. Interment will be at Memorial Moravian Cemetery in Hospital Ground. Professional funeral services are entrusted to Turnbull’s Funeral Home.
