The family of Sheila J. Freeman and Ernest P. Freeman announces their passing with profound sorrow and unwavering love.

Sheila J. Freeman

Sheila and Ernest shared a profound love and an unbreakable bond throughout their lives. Until the very end, Sheila dedicated herself to caring for her brother with unwavering devotion.

Sheila was born on October 18, 1959, on the island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. She passed away on February 21, 2025, in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Her brother, Ernest, was born on October 8, 1963, in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and he passed away on March 8, 2025.

Sheila and Ernest were the beloved children of Ernest Prudencio Freeman Sr. and Albertina (Tera) Freeman from the British Virgin Islands. They were preceded in death by their parents, as well as their sisters, Cheryl Freeman Hodge and Barbara A. Freeman-Cenac, and their brothers, Emory Francis (stepbrother) and Joseph Brooks (adopted brother).

Sheila is survived by her devoted children and loved ones:

Sons: Kebo Hodge Sr., Kishawn Hodge, and Troy Lynch

Daughter-In-Law: Josette Hodge

Grandchildren: Kebo Hodge Jr., K’my Hodge, K’zy Hodge, Le’Jante Lynch, K’Noy                                                 Lynch Nashori  Lynch, Chardanae Gumbs

Nieces: Ja’Manda Freeman and Shania Freeman

Nephews: Elijah Freeman, Bajhani Freeman, Ernest Freeman II, Pedrito Freeman, Tareek-Tyshawn Freeman, Shimoy Freeman, Victor Jacoy Cenac

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend their celebration of life on Thursday, March 20, at Wesley Methodist Church, St. Thomas. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m. with service to follow at 10 a.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory ServicesI.
