Glen Watkins Dies

Glen Watkins passed away in a motorcycle accident on July 3, 2026, in Fairlee, Vermont. His passing was immediate, and no one else was harmed. His life was full of adventure and love for his son, family, and friends.

Glen was born and raised on the Caribbean island of St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands. He was an Island Man; a Crucian, the proud nickname shared by everyone from St. Croix. You might not know it upon seeing him, his blonde hair and fair complexion emblematic of the term “All-American.” When he spoke, though, a sweet and uniquely West Indian patois often seasoned his speech. “Eh-eh,” a common Crucian colloquialism, often punctuated anything he might be observing or talking about.

To be sure, the island was in his blood; his soul.

Glen grew up exploring St. Croix with his siblings, surfing Judith’s Fancy, sailing out to Buck Island, and making a lot of friends along the way. Many people will remember him by his youthful spirit, sly smile, incredible intelligence, and certainly his contagious laughter.

In 2015, Glen and Sarah welcomed a son, Finn. Shortly thereafter, Finn and his mother relocated to the U.S. mainland. Subsequently, Glen left his life in St. Croix to be closer to his son. To see Glen as a father was to witness true love. In Vermont, he was a beloved member of a men’s golf league. Glen always took Finn golfing and loved cheering him on at his soccer games.

Glen is survived by his son, Finn, his first wife, Sarah, and Sarah’s daughter, Mariah; sister, Rebecca Jane, her husband, Darrin Dingman, and niece, Olivia Scout; brother, Evan, his wife, Stephany, and niece, Addyson. Glen was preceded in death by his mother, Priscilla, and father, Billy Bob. We will all remember Glen with sore hearts, but even bigger smiles.

A celebration of life in honor of Glen Watkins will be held on Monday, July 13, at the Deep End Bar & Grill on St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands. It will begin at 5:30 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, Glen’s family asks that you please consider making a donation to Finn’s education fund. For full details on where and how to contribute, please email the family at familywatkins2026@gmail.com.
