Dec. 14, 2007 – Samuel M. Horsford, also known as "Tonge," of Walter I.M. Hodge died on Dec. 9, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital.
He is survived by his companion, Hilda Ambrose; daughters: Gean Horsford, Janice Concepcion, Carol Nicholas, Marilyn Jones and Stephanie Walker; and sons: Morrison Horsford, Bobby Horsford, Wilbert Marsh, Icford Marsh and Novelle Carbon. He is also survived by grandchildren: Bernadette Smith, Valarie Gillead, Violet and Jessica Horsford, Victorino Jr., and Sharana Concepcion, Shevini Montano Emile Jr., Carl Heywood, Malachi Horsford, and Tshorn, Tshila and Aleem Techera, Sandra Samuel, and Tracy, Shenneth, Shawn, Damion, Jah-Corey, Miguel Alomar, La'Mar, Corey and Devohn Jones, Terrol Marsh, Richard Carbon, Karen Marsh, and Bobby and Bryson Horsford and Andrew Weeks; 35 great-grandchildren; sisters: Faith Mc Intosh, Gean Burton, Erinie Horsford, Cortinella Morris and Alsweta Joseph; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place from 9:30-10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Bethel Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m., at the church. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
