The Virgin Islands Department of Education advises parents, guardians, employees, and the general public that the John H. Woodson Junior High School will be closed on Friday, May 8, 2026.
VIDE officials were notified by the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) that the campus will be impacted by a scheduled potable water service interruption, resulting in the lack of running water at the school facility on Friday.
In prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of students, faculty, and staff, there will be no school operations at John H. Woodson Junior High School on May 8, 2026.
