Coast Guard Stops Illegal Charter off St. John

The Coast Guard terminated an illegal charter for the 29-foot small passenger vessel Alternate Attitude just outside Cruz Bay, St. John, on Sunday. The vessel was reportedly overcrowded.

Coast Guard Anticipates Closing Ports at 8 a.m. Friday

The U.S. Coast Guard declared Port Condition Yankee for the U.S.Virgin islands and Puerto Rico Thursday afternoon, and expects to declare Port Condition Zulu at 8 a.m. Friday, closing the port in anticipation of a near pass by Tropical Depression 13.
