William L. Butler Dies at 57

June 1, 2008 – William L. Butler, formerly of Estate Tipperary, St. Croix, died on May 28, in Goodview, Virginia. He had been employed at Marshall & Sterling Inc. from 1995 to 2005.
Butler was a graduate of West Chester State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. His passion for music remained with him throughout his entire life. He was an active member of the Caribbean Community Theater, as well as various church choirs. Additionally, he taught vocal music at secondary schools in Pennsylvania and Delaware. His amazing sense of humor and adventurous spirit were echoed in every moment of his life. Whether it was trips with the Boy Scouts, flying with the VI Aero Club, scuba diving, skydiving or woodturning, he lived his life to the fullest.
He was a loving husband, caring father and grandfather, and wonderful friend. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A Butler, sons: Craig, William Jr., James and Shawn Hagerty; daughters-in-law: Linda, Trisha and Jennifer; grandchildren: Kaid, William III, Madelaine, Jordon, Sean, Logan, Aidan and Quinn.
Services will be held on Monday, June 2, at Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford, Va. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Lake Christian Ministries, P.O. Box 695, Moneta, Va. 24121.
