Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen has announced that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will host all-day courses on "Construction Quality Management for Contractors” (CQM-C) on Oct. 27 and 28 in the territory.
Delegate Announces Courses Hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Virgin Islands contractors who are interested in performing work for the USACE are encouraged to participate. Successful completion of this course will allow V.I. contractors to qualify for project quality control manager positions on projects sponsored by the corps. USACE requires contractors to retain the services of someone who has successfully completed the 12-hour CQM-C course for this managerial position.
The cost of the course is $125 and includes the cost of materials. A site will be selected on either St. Croix or St. Thomas, once it has been determined how many participants will be taking it. Participants will receive a certificate of completion valid for five years.
To register, contact Joseph Tavares of the USACE Jacksonville Office at (904) 232-3446 or send an e-mail to joseph.tavares@usace.army.mil.
